A concentrated liquid silica supplement for saltwater aquaria

Description

TheReef® Silica liquid supplement is made from chemically pure ionic salts. Silica is essential for the growth of sponges, molluscs, sea squirts, phytoplankton and other marine micro-organisms that play an important role in maintaining overall water quality, yet many aquariums run at levels significantly below Natural Sea Water levels.

Guidance

For general maintenance we would suggest adding 1ml of supplement per 100 litres of aquarium water daily, or as needed. We suggest you aim to maintain silica levels below 2ppm.

Shake bottle before use then add required quantity of supplement to an area of aquarium or sump with high flow. Do not mix with or use within 1 hour of other supplements.

Note: If supplementing silica it is important to ensure phosphate levels are kept below 0.03ppm to prevent problem diatom growth.
