A concentrated liquid iodine supplement
for saltwater aquaria
 |
Description
Iodine
can help maintain coral health and colouration, helping to
prevent coral bleaching and being utilised by coral pigments. TheReef®
Iodine
liquid supplement is made from a blend of chemically pure salts containing iodine, iodate and iodide ions - the
forms of iodine most readily taken up by marine organisms.
This combination of three forms of iodine works as a timed
release mechanism as they become bio-available at different
points, helping to spread out the impact of dosing over a more
extended period than supplements based on a single form.
TheReef®
Iodine also provides aquarists with exceptional
value for money compared to other brands, offering an unbeatable
combination of performance for price.*

Guidance
As a general maintenance dose for reef aquaria we suggest adding 1ml of
supplement per 100 litres of aquarium water daily.
If seeking to raise iodine to a specific level then you
can increase dosing to a maximum of 5ml per 100 litres a day,
testing regularly. (1ml contains around 10mg of iodine).
Note: It is normal for iodine levels to change rapidly
over a few days due to a combination of utilisation by marine
organisms and chemical or physical depletion. The rate at which
this happens will vary from system to system so you should
adjust suggested dosing levels accordingly, taking due account
of any coral reactions.
