A concentrated liquid carbonate buffer for saltwater aquaria
 |
Description
TheReef®
Alkalinity
liquid supplement contains a blend of all three carbonate,
bicarbonate and borate ions that provide Natural Sea Water with
it's buffering potential and which, with calcium, help corals
form their skeletons and grow. This blend of
chemically pure
salts helps to
keep pH and the ionic balance more stable than inferior products
based on bicarbonate alone.
TheReef®
Alkalinity also provides aquarists
with exceptional value for money compared to other brands,
offering an unbeatable combination of performance for price.*

Guidance
First measure alkalinity levels in your aquarium with an accurate
test kit to determine how much of
TheReef®
Alkalinity supplement you should add. We
recommend maintaining alkalinity levels between 7.8-9.0 dKH.
15ml (1 capful) of supplement
per 100 litres of aquarium water should raise calcium levels by
around 1.5dKH.
Shake bottle before use then slowly add required quantity of
supplement to an area of aquarium or sump with high flow.
Monitor
pH levels while dosing and do not allow to vary by more than
±0.3. Do
not mix with or use within 1 hour of other supplements.
Do not raise levels by more than 2.8dKH a day.
